The Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry has revved up its preparations for the Second Bicol Business Week.
Two fully airconditioned tents with floor areas measuring 10m x 18m each will rise along Kinastillohan street in downtown Naga City when the 2nd Bicol Business Week unfolds on June 18-25, 2006.
This was announced by Crisanto ‘ Colatz' Guysayko, Bicol Business Week chair who said that this year's edition of the biggest trade show in Bicol will feature 6 exhibits and an array of special events to highlight an excellent venue for investors and national and multinational companies that will showcase their products, technologies, services and business opportunities for Bicol investment and business advancement.
The street divides the adjoining city-owned Plaza Quezon and provincial government-managed Plaza Rizal
Both plazas, plus the nearby Plaza Quince Martires will serve as main venues for over a hundred stalls for the trade fair and exhibits.
Specifically, over 100 exhibitors in the field of agri-aqua, franchising, renewable energy and consumer goods and ICT will set up display booths at both Plaza Quezon and Plaza Rizal for the weeklong trade exposition, Guysayko said.
He added that so far they have received positive responses from leading companies which have been sent invitations to participate in the trade event.
Distinguished names in business and government finance, such as Vivienne Tan, Budget Secretary Nonoy Andaya and House Chair Joey Salceda have also been invited to keynote and grace the event, Guysayko added.
“We will exert our best effort to make sure that all leading companies and entrepreneurs in Bicol, along with Manila-based firms, will be joining us in this regional trade event,” Guysayko said.
In last year's edition, held Aug. 28 to Sept. 2 at the Naga City Civic Center in joint collaboration with the Naga City Government during the incumbency of President Nicolas Beda Priela of the Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), some10,000 visitors dropped in for the exhibits.
Now on its second year, the Bicol Business Week is an annual trade event organized by the Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This year, it is headed by president Engr. Emeterio Aman, in joint cooperation with the City Government of Naga and the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur.
Naga City Mayor Jesse M. Robredo has pledged financial assistance to finance mobilization and preparation plans.
