Milagros Z. Duana
Outstanding Bicolano Businessman
Sorsogon |
|
|
This high-spirited businesswoman from
Sorsogon City finished her college course
from the National Teachers College
not knowing that she would be enmeshed in the
complex world of entrepreneurship and finance and
triumphantly come out whole. She is the chair and
president of the Rural Bank of Irosin; the chair and
president of Jomil Enterprises; chair of the Agape
Caregiver Training Center; and chair of the Agape
Formation and Educational Center.
Despite her hyperactive role as a homegrown business manager who is responsible for generating new jobs, new wealth, and new opportunities for her province, Mrs. Duana always finds time to apply the same enthusiasm and competence in involving herself in various voluntary and civic works, particularly with non-government and peoples' organizations in her own community. She chairs the Sorsogon Tourism Association and the PAFC-Provincial Agricultural and Fisheries Council; the Sorsogon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Sorsogon Small and Medium Industry Council, among others.
Truly, she is an epitome of a hardworking woman-entrepreneur whose vision to make Sorsogon a better province to live in is a continuing commitment and passion. |
